<p>We’re halfway through the third week of the 2019-2020 season and some players have started the year with big statistical seasons. Here’s a look at some of the early season standouts.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="915145" first="Mark" last="Goode"], LaRue County - </strong>Goode is a WKU football commit but is off to a strong start for his Senior basketball season. Averaging 28 points and 9 rebounds through 5 games. Goode will be tested at the King of the Bluegrass this week. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="783054" first="Jamison" last="Epps"], Marion County - </strong>Epps has put up some astronomical rebounding numbers to start the year. Averaging just shy of 20 points and 18 rebounds per game, Jamison has helped Marion get off to a 5-1 start.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="915170" first="Tay" last="Smith"], Warren Central - </strong>Smith battled various injuries and two bouts of the flu last year but is healthy this season for the Dragons and off to a hot start. Averaging 16.5 points while shooting 50% from the field and 46% from three, Smith could be in the mix for 4th region Player of the Year.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="922991" first="Scotty" last="Draud"], Beechwood - </strong>After 8 games, the Junior has picked up where he left off last year. Averaging 28.4 points and 8.5 rebounds, Draud has the Tigers off to a 6-2 start and looking capable of competing for a 9th region title.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="915160" first="Tyler" last="Camplin"], Webster County - </strong>The Trojans are off to a 6-0 start and Allen is leading the team in scoring at nearly 18 points per game. Shooting 57% from 3, Camplin is off to a strong start and Webster can establish themselves as a serious threat in the second if they can beat Hopkinsville next week.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="801625" first="Tanner" last="Walton"], LCA - </strong>After graduating the best player in school history in Kyle Rode, many expected the Eagles to fall way off but they’re off to a 4-3 start and Walton is averaging just shy of 26 points per game with shooting splits of 63/50/79. </p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="923003" first="KJ" last="Crump"], UHA - </strong>Known as a pass first point guard for the last few years, Crump has turned into a scoring machine. KJ is averaging 24 points and shooting 41% from three. If UHA is going to make another run to the All A in January, Crump will get them there.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="801588" first="Justin" last="Becker"], Robertson County - </strong>Averaging 24.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game while shooting 62% from the field and 50% from three, Becker has helped lead the Black Devils to a 6-0 start to the season.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="783035" first="Matt" last="Cromer"], South Laurel - </strong>Averaging 23.6 points per game despite missing most of one game with an ankle sprain, Cromer went for a career high 39 points against Corbin this week. The Senior is hoping to get the Cards over the hump and back to Rupp Arena for the first time in a few years.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="923066" first="Xander" last="Terry"], Jackson City - </strong>Already having scored over 40 in a game this season, Terry is averaging just shy of 24 points and 8 rebounds per game on the year and recently scored his 1,000th career point.</p>
