3A Week 2 Recap/ Rankings

<p>The 3A class has some good teams and players who are battling for the top spots. Here are our top five 3A teams.</p>
<p><strong>5. DSST: Byers</strong></p>
<p>DSST: Byers is still undefeated so far this season winning all four of their games. They have two of the best players in 3A basketball in <strong>Kyrie Thomas </strong>and <strong>Elijah Thatch</strong>. Kyrie so far this year is averaging 18.5 points per game and Elijah is averaging 17.5 points per game. They have had some good wins so far against Roaring Fork and Coal Ridge and are looking to keep a good winning streak.</p>
<p><strong>4. The Vanguard School</strong></p>
<p>The Vanguard School has had a good season so far only loosing to Faith Christian. The walking highlight reel <strong>Dominque Clifford </strong>is looking to lead this team to victory. They have a big match up coming up after the break when they play a solid 4A team in Northfield. </p>
<p><strong>3. Faith Christian </strong></p>
<p>Faith Christian has had a good season so far only loosing to Alamosa. They have a mismatch every game with <strong>Caleb Ruter</strong>, he has a good combination of athleticism and size that many players in 3A do not have. This is definitely a team to look out for this year. They have a big game coming up this week when they play Sterling on Saturday.</p>
<p><b>2. Resurrection Christian</b></p>
<p>Resurrection Christian has beat a lot of good teams so far this year including Pueblo West and Saint Mary's. They are being led by wing <strong>Reece Johnson </strong>who is averaging 18 points per game so far. Also they have another talented wing in <strong>Isaac Jessup </strong>who is averaging 17.8 points per game. They have a huge match up coming up after the break against Lutheran which will decide the one seed at the time.</p>
<p><strong>1. Lutheran</strong></p>
<p>Lutheran traveled out of state this past week and went 1-1. They have one of the best big guys in the state in <strong>Baye Fall</strong>. The big match up coming up as mentioned before is when they play Resurrection Christian, if you live in the area this is definitely a game to watch on January 4th at Resurrection Christian. </p>
