RCS Sports held its inaugural Season Opener which was held at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center an Aldine ISD Facility in Houston, Texas. This event featured 16 teams in one day and it was the opening weekend for the UIL schools to start their high school season. Let's take a look at some prospects who stood out at the event.

Noah Kon 6’1 PG • 2021 • Houston Christian HS PHTX75 as seen in picture

Noah was on one early in the morning as he scored the ball at all levels on the court. He really showcased his pull-up mid-range jumper. He has a high motor and a toughness that just can’t be taught. It seemed as if he was in every play on both sides of the ball. This Junior is set to have a big year. Here are his stats from the game 34 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. He shot 12/22 from the field, 2/3 from behind the arch, and 8/10 from the foul line.

Reggie Comeaux 6’5 SF • 2020 • Aldine Nimitz PHTX150

Was solid in the second half of the game. He is a good-sized wing player that is uber-athletic. He won’t hesitate to put a defender in the rim. Has a decent outside jumper. Crazy chase down speed as he pinned multiple lay-ups in the game solid prospect that has Low-Major D1/JuCo interest at this time. Here are his stats from the game 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, and 4 steals. Shot 5/14 from the field, 0/7 from behind the arc, and 5/5 from the foul line.

Ashton Smith 6’7 PF • 2021 • Aldine Nimitz PHTX75

Ashton commanded the ball in the post and when he got it on the low block he was a tough assignment. Long wingspan with good speed to get up and down the court. He was guarding players out on the perimeter as well. Here are his stats from the game 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks. He shot 6/8 from the field and 2/4 from the charity stripe.

Xzavier Benton 6’2 SG • 2020 • Aldine Davis

Talk about a big-time shot-maker at crucial points in the game you have to mention this prospect. He was knocking down shots off the dribble, off-balance, catch and shoot, and off of screens. He had 23 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 7/11 from the field, 3/5 from deep, and 6/7 from the foul line.

Greg Crawford 6’3 G • 2021 • Aldine Davis

Greg is a strong guard that is solid both on and off the ball. He is super active on the defensive side of the ball which is his anchor. He’s really solid in transition situations and gets after the 50/50 balls. Here are his stats from the game 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He shot 5/10 from the field, 0/4 from deep, and 6’9 from the charity stripe.

Jackson Banks 6’4 WG • 2021 • Sam Houston

Jackson was knocking down some big-time shots at the season opener. He always was making hard cuts to get simple dump-off passes for easy buckets. Plays with a great motor and gets after it. Here are his stats from the game 19 points, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. He shot 7/11 from the field, 3/6 from behind the arc, and 2/4 from the foul line.

John Shanu 6’9 C • 2020 • Sam Houston PHTX150

John is looking like a solid Mid-Major prospect right now. He’s getting up and down the floor really well and is a big-time rim protector. He also was finishing everything at the rim with flushes, and right/left-handed baby hooks. He showed good footing on the low block and was strong on the glass. Here is his stats 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals. He shot 6/7 from the field and 1/2 from the charity stripe.

Cam Amboree 6’1 PG • 2022 • Sam Houston

Cam is a new transfer on to Sam Houston but he played as if he had been with these guys all last year. He is a deceptive guard that has a great IQ. Has super quick hands on the defensive side of the ball. Pesky on-ball defender. That can be a threat from deep. He only played the first three quarters with only 2 fouls in the game. He finished with 13 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists. He shot 5/13 from the field, 2/8 from deep, and 1/2 from the charity stripe.

Dylan Miles 6’0 PG • 2020 • Summer Creek [UT-Dallas] PHTX150

Dylan has it going from deep. He is a signature long ball shooter, but don’t key to much on him as a long ball shooter because he can get to the rim as well. He is a quick guard with a nice handle and decision-making abilities. He had 19 points, shot 6/10 from the field, went 5/6 from behind the arc, and 2/2 from the foul line.

Javon Jackson 6’2 CG • 2021 • Summer Creek PHTX75

This crafty combo guard is poised enough to run the point but is also dangerous when playing off-ball in the catch and shoot role. He gets downhill and uses a lot of deceptiveness with the ball while attacking. He can shoot it with the best of them. He currently holds 1 NCAA Division 1 from Sand Diego University and looks to add more to the list. He scored 19 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and had 4 steals also. He shot 8/13 from the floor, 2/4 from behind the arch, and went 1/1 at the foul line.

Reyce Allen 6’5 F • 2021 • Summer Creek

Reyce plays the four-man position for his high school team. Super strong and athletic forward that plays with a great motor. He has a muscular frame and moves his opponents around when fighting for positions and boards. He altered many shots on the day and was tenacious on the glass. He finished with 16 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal. He shot 7/9 from the field and went 2/6 from the charity stripe.
