We will take a look at some players in Michigan’s class of 2022 who’s rankings don’t necessarily do them justice.
Mason Docks (PG, Williamston)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #12
Docks has top 10 talent and potential. He can be the straw that stirs the drink on a loaded Williamston roster this season.
Orlando Lovejoy (PG, Romulus Summit Academy)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #16
Lovejoy is an explosive scoring point guard. The number 16 doesn’t accurately represent his potential. Lovejoy is closer to #4 than he is to #20.
Tharren Hill (G, Detroit Pershing)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #17
Hill is versatile, athletic, and skilled on the perimeter. He has top 10 skills and should be recruited as such.
Alex Watters (G, Lansing Catholic)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #20
Watters is a very efficient and high IQ player. He’s been mentioned as high as top 10-12 in talk around the water cooler with other scouts and coaches.
Isaiah Jones (F, Flint Carman Ainsworth)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #25
Jones is a hard nosed athlete. He’s a versatile forward that always finds a way to contribute. Jones has plenty of move up potential.
Mason Woods (PG, East Lansing)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #33
In a class with plenty of talented floor generals, Woods can’t be overlooked. He’s skilled putting the ball on the floor and crisp with the pass.
Terrance Broughton (PG, Romulus)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #59
Broughton has a VERY high ceiling. He’s an explosive scorer and is primed for a breakout season. Broughton has the potential to be near the top of the class.
Jorden Brooks (SF, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #66
Brooks could be the best pure athlete in the class of 2022. He’s a multi sport star that has all the intangibles.
Xander Middleton (SG, Monroe)
Prep Hoops Michigan Ranking: #81
Middleton has big time potential. He’s a smooth moving shooting guard that can get buckets. Middleton has should be recruited higher than a #81 ranked prospect.
