Wyatt Carmichael, 6’4, F, 2020, Haven
An underrated inside-out style forward who earns his stripes through physicality and hustle. He is a strong rebounder, has a soft shooting touch in the lane and can step out and make outside shots as well. He has good handles and showcased his speed and versatility this offseason playing for Grind Elite.
Mason Haxton, 6’0, G, 2021, Hoisington
Haxton averaged 14.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists for Cardinal team that went 10-11 last season. He knocked down 19 3-pointers and shot 36 percent from long distance last season. He has confidence from distance and can get around opponents and get to the basket and free throw line.
Mason Perez, 6’2, G/F, 2020, Larned
Also a standout football player, Perez is a combo player who has good hands and a good eye for offensive schemes. He can jump passing lanes and finish plays in transition off the glass. He is a tough and physical player and can get to the basket and score and make smart passes.
Connor MacDonald, 6’9, G, 2020, Nickerson
MacDonald is a smart center who shows good movement and a nice touch around the rim. He is very active and uses his speed and height to his advantage. He has good footwork and is hard to stop when he’s close to the basket. Alos a good rebounder who can extend plays in the mid-range area.
Drew Nicholson, 6’6, F, 2021, Hoisington
A long, rangy wing player, Nicholson brings a high skill level to the court, able to handle the ball, shoot from the outside and slash to the basket. As a sophomore last season, he led the team in scoring at 16.5 points, rebounding at 6.4 per game and averaged nearly two assists per game.Nicholson connected on 40 3-pointers, making 38 percent from distance, and shot 86 percent from the free throw line as well.
