Adam Sommer 6’3″ Parkway South: The talented combo guard was easily the best player in the Jamboree. In the first session against Hillsboro, he scored 15 of his team’s first 17 points in the victory. When he wasn’t getting buckets and knocking down 3-pointers, he did a good job of facilitating and giving up the ball when facing double teams. He was able to attack the basket and get himself to the free throw line.
Mark Moore 5’9″ Hillsboro: The veteran point guard is a very solid player at both ends of the court. When he team was struggling, he took it upon himself to make a big play with a perimeter jumper or a big steal and a transition layup. He has very good anticipating when it comes to darting into the passing lanes to create turnovers. He is a very good passer who will knock down the open 3-pointer.
Evan Worley 6’7″ Hillsboro: The versatile forward displayed the ability to be a factor from several different spots on the floor. He is a scoring threat in the low post and also as an offensive rebounder with several put-backs. He used his size and length to block shots as well. He will also step out and shoot the 3-pointer off the pick and pop. He is athletic and very mobile and he will score on his share of rim runs.
Isaiah Esker 6’9″ Parkway South: The big post player handled himself well despite having a crowd of defenders around him for much of the evening. He had some very strong finishes down the stretch in a close victory over Whitfield in the last session. When he keeps the ball up, he can finish strong and draw lots of fouls. He can also pass the ball out of the double team to the open man.
Joe Beardsley 6’4″ Oakville: A solid all-around player who did a little bit of everything for his team. He can score inside, put the ball on the floor and make pull up jumpers from 15 feet. He can come outside and help facilitate the offense with his ball handling and passing ability as well. He also had some very good hustling plays on the defensive end.
