The New Additions of Point and Combo Guards to 2028 Rankings

He is a strong two-way guard who can score while also being a solid playmaker. He has a quick first step to beat defenders in the lane while also being able to knock down 3-points. He had an excellent summer grassroots season with the VWBA 16U. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3737898' first='Kenny' last='Woodard'] (Blue Springs): A 6'2" point guard who has good size and athleticism along with a high basketball IQ. He is a potent three-level scorer who operates well with two feet in the paint. He also has a nice pull up jumper where he elevates well over defenders. He plays the game at his own pace and he doesn't let himself get sped up. He can beat defenders on the downhill drive while also also creating his own shot with a variety of escape moves. He can also shoot it from 3-pint range. He is a very good playmaker who distributes the ball well. He can also create his own bucket when he needs to and he has 3-point shooting range. He uses his speed well in the open court and he knows how to maneuver in and out of traffic in the lane against the taller defenders. He has a nice float game in the lane and he can also draw contact to score.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
