Often times when we make the "Best Available" lists, we don’t get into specific geographical areas but heading into the 2019-20 season, there is enough unsigned talent across the bluegrass state that we can make a deeper dive into the various parts of the state. Here’s a look at the best unsigned players in the city of Louisville.

[player_tooltip player_id="915108" first="Rashad" last="Bishop"], Ballard - One of the best vertical athletes in the city, Rashad has D1 potential. If he ever adds some stretch to his game, watch out. He reminds me of current NAIA All-American Chris Coffey who is in his Senior season at Georgetown College.

[player_tooltip player_id="915109" first="Noah" last="Courtney"], Male - Noah, unlike most of this list, holds multiple scholarship offers. I suspect he’s holding out hope to make the D1 level. Regardless of what level of college he goes to, Noah is a hyper-competitive forward with a bright future.

[player_tooltip player_id="915113" first="Eli" last="Roberts"], Manual - Roberts is a throwback post player who is at his best with his back to the basket. A really good athlete at 6’7, Eli also has exceptional academics and could see his future as a preferred walk-on at the D1 level or as a full scholarship player at the D2 or NAIA level.

[player_tooltip player_id="915114" first="Dallas" last="Rufus"], Waggener - Dallas is one of the youngest 2020 prospects in the 502 area code and you can’t rule out a year at a post grad school and a reclassification to 2021. With Waggener graduating so many players this past year, it should be Rufus’ time to shine.

[player_tooltip player_id="783042" first="James" last="Taylor"], PRP - Taylor has been a top point guard in the city for years and continues to be one of the steadiest hands in the city with the ball in his hands. James will be the engine that makes PRP go this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="915130" first="Trey" last="Minter"], Butler - Likely the best shooter on this list, Trey has strong grades and a solid ACT score to go along with the ability to score 20+ a game when he gets hot. Minter is a very tough kid and should land a roster spot at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="915122" first="Cam" last="Underwood"], Butler - Underwood may be the better prospect of the Butler pair on this list thanks to his length and size. Cam can play and guard multiple positions on the floor and has a chance to be breakout player in the city this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="783053" first="Jake" last="Evans"], Male - The straw that stirs the drink for the top ranked team in the state, Jake isn’t going to blow you away with any one part of his game but the kid is one of the toughest in the city and can play in the half court or in the full court and knows how to run a team.

[player_tooltip player_id="915125" first="Chez" last="Moore"], Collegiate - If you’re looking for a prospect with upside, Moore is your guy. He’s long and athletic and can tear the rim down. Chez has to continue improving his overall skill level and shooting but you won’t find another player in the city with the type of long term upside in the 2020 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="915138" first="Trent" last="Findley"], Seneca - Trent is a candidate to break out in a big way this season. After being a role player for Male the last couple of seasons, Trent should have a big impact this year for Seneca and can be a scholarship level player at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="915143" first="Stephen" last="Moore"], Fairdale - Moore could be the best prospect on this list. When he’s playing with a high motor he can be a terror on both ends of the floor. There’s a chance he could lead the city in scoring this season and be the type of player to leave the King of the Bluegrass with a couple of scholarship offers.
