Bryce Hopkins to Louisville
While we are waiting for the decision of a high profile senior recruit and other signings this week with national signing day approaching huge news broke on Sunday night as Fenwick 2021 small forward Bryce Hopkins committed to Louisville. Hopkins is the #2 overall prospect in the Illinois junior class and one of the top five prospects regardless of class in the state.
Hopkins was very thorough with the process visiting double digit high major schools over the last year from coast to coast. It started to become obvious though that Louisville had the edge as he took his third trip this fall to see the Cardinals over the weekend. Third time was the charm as Hopkins tells PHI he has committed to Louisville.
The Fenwick junior is a prospect that was coveted by a lot of college programs because of his versatility and toughness. The big bodied combo forward has thinned out his frame which has improved his athleticism and opened up a ton of more avenues for him to leave an impact on the game. High impact player that is efficient and plays with power when he needs to. Improved as a shooter and rebounds very well for a wing.
He played with MoKan on the Nike EYBL Circuit this past summer. Hopkins is the #48 prospect nationally in the 2021 class.
