C Jamarion Sharp (John A Logan – Freshman)
Sharp was the most exciting long term JUCO post prospect on the day. At 7’2” he has insane physical upside. He is rail thin and will have to add on significant strength throughout the course of the next two years. Sharp was a complete monster blocking shots both on the interior straight up and coming from the weakside. Also threw several three point shots right back in opponents grills covering a significant amount of ground. High-pointed rebounds in traffic. Offensively he was at his best catching lobs and converting tip dunks.
C Sydney Curry (John A Logan – Freshman)
Curry is a perfect complement to Sharp as he is a physical and thick center that gives opponents a different look. Curry is built like an NFL defensive end and has slimmed down a lot since his high school days. Explosive athlete that is light on his feet with spin moves on the interior. He is a beast on the glass grabbing grown man rebounds in traffic.
PF Xavier Ball (John A Logan – Freshman)
Ball is an interesting face up four man that is comfortable shooting the basketball with his range stretching out to three. Defensively he was tough inside blocking shots and using his strength.
PF James Graham (Cuyahoga – Sophomore)
Graham is a lefty that has long arms which allows him to play bigger than his height. Was active on the class. Quickness around the hoop and showed flashes as a shooter.
C Kevin Kone (Vincennes – Sophomore)
Well-built five man that runs the floor hard. Rebounded very well in his area snatching them with two hands. Kone seals well in the post and used the glass to bank in short hook shots.
PF Chinedu Okanu (Vincennes – Sophomore)
This post is another strong big man for Vincennes. He showed skill around the hoop hitting an array of hook shots and baseline jumpers. Sealed off his man multiple times for dunks. Makes quick and assertive post moves when the ball touches his hands.
PF Alvoung Kang (Rend Lake – Freshman)
Bully ball four man that is a junk yard dog around the hoop. Runs the floor well for his size.
PF Elijah Farr (Olney Central – Sophomore)
Farr showed flashes. Strong bodied four man that has some decent mobility for his size. He finished well on dump off passes around the hoop.
PF Gabe O’Neal (Mineral Area – Sophomore)
Was told this big bodied four man is headed to Kent State. He is a huge post that rebounds very well in his area. Tried to shoot it a little, but wasn’t very effective.
PF Jacob Thompson (Kaskaskia – Sophomore)
Thompson had quite a second half against Parkland! The 6’6” power forward was extremely active and efficient with everything he did all day long! Played with a non-stop motor. He displayed his ability to score in a variety of ways. High/low finish, spins in lane, baseline jumper, and used his athleticism on the glass. Even hit a three. What a game for this kid!
PF La-Quiem Walker (Kaskaskia – Sophomore)
Walker flashed last season for KC and with legit size and length he could breakout this season. Soft touch around the hoop and garners deep post position. Shows solid shot mechanics for a big man.
PF Joey Saracco (Parkland – Sophomore)
Saracco is a player we liked out of Bolingbrook several years back. He is a skilled pick and pop four with legit size and strength. Soft touch around the hoop and rebounds well in his area.
PF Gethro Muscadin (Aspire Prep – 2020)
This was my first look at this 2020 top 100 national prospect who is garnering high level college attention. At 6’10” he has long arms and was a quality athlete. Displayed a great combination of athleticism, skill, and developmental upside. Opened up with a pick and pop three and followed with a mid-range jumper showing great mechanics on his shot. Most impressive play was when he swatted a shot, ran the floor, and caught a lob. Rim running big man that played with a good motor. Switched defensively and snatched rebounds at the rim.
C Gabe Wuor (Wesley Christian – 2020)
The 7-foot center is a long and lanky five man that was most valuable on the defensive end with his mobility being able to switch and block shots. Offensively he ran the floor with fluidity. A little raw, but will find a home at the next level because of his upside.
