Below is a list of the players who boosted their own likeness last weekend at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo to the highest degree. The players listed below are among the players I was able to watch, exclusively.

Nobody impressed me more last weekend than Mr. [player_tooltip player_id="931194" first="Luke" last="Seals"] of Ponca City. Seals is an interesting prospect planted in a semi-rural location, make it difficult to see him. The 6-foot-8 post, however, did himself a big favor by showing up last Sunday. Aside from his height, Seals showcased an impressive repertoire of skills including competitive rebounding, scoring and the ability to guard other players of a similar stature (Seals engaged in an interesting battle with 6-foot-9-inch [player_tooltip player_id="967448" first="Didier" last="Maleng"] that elevated both prospects to their highest potential). Seals will certainly be a player to watch this season in Northern Oklahoma.

Marcelle La Day III 2021 Harding Charter Prep wing

Under-the-radar back-court prospect Marcelle Le Day III showcased his all-around guard-skills Sunday. La Day can play well on both ends of the floor; he was adherent to ball-handlers and kept his adversary from getting by him. Offensively, he has great ball-skills, can handle the rock and can finish tough shots near the rim. The bottom line is that Marcelle is a competent, confident scorer with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id="981277" first="Orie" last="Walker"] 2023 Heritage Hall guard

Oftentimes, new prospects can be difficult to gauge as they often have to compete with older contenders. Walker, however, turned the circumstances in his favor. Walker shot the ball extraordinarily well; his smooth form was cash-money all day. The charismatic and confident guard is well-prepared for the high school level by the outstanding Heritage Hall staff, and his first outing against high-school competition was fortuitous for the young sharpshooter.

Trenton Ellison 2021 Owasso combo guard

Recently, I was speaking with one college player from Central Oklahoma. He asked me, "have you seen this Ellison kid from Owasso?" He explained that Ellison had been a regular attendee of the Elite Camp at Central Oklahoma for several years, but his showing at the 2019 camp was indicative that he had become considerably better. I could not agree more. Ellison was constantly, week-in-week-out one of the most competitive players in the Oklahoma junior class in the summer of ’19, and he capped it off with an outstanding performance at the Top 250. Ellison is an elite shooter, ball-handler, facilitator, defender and scorer at the rim. He has a good frame and has reached a near-peak-athleticism that he will only become more acquainted with as time passes. Don’t be surprised when you see this Owasso guard making headlines this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="609804" first="Jacob" last="Woody"] 2020 Cashion guard

[player_tooltip player_id="609804" first="Jacob" last="Woody"] is an all-around impressive guard who showed signed of being a great scorer Sunday. Woody is an athletic figure with surprising elevation and body control. Woody can manipulate himself through traffic with the ball and can play above the rim to finish at the basket. At 6-foot-3-inches, he has a great stature for the two-spot on the floor. I fully-expect Woody to be a standout in small-school basketball in his senior season.
