Newark will once again standout, as well as Canal Winchester. Groveport could be improved
First Team:
Bobby Crenshaw (6’0” / G 2020 / Newark): Crenshaw has the athleticism to be a big time playmaker for the Wildcats. The senior could be a big time scoring threat, that could solidify Newark amongst the top of the conference again. Has the traits to be a good defender, can handle the ball and more. Rebounder from guard position.
Jayden Lewis (6’1” / G 2020 / New Albany): Lewis has shown flashes of what he can do and was one of the better scorers in the league last season. The senior can get to the hoop, makes flashy plays and competes. Expect nothing less of that this season as he will be back for his last go around at the high school level
Kegan Hienton (6’5” / WF 2020 / Big Walnut): A player that could be primed to improve their stock this season is Hienton. The senior can score inside from the mid-range and a spot up shooter from deep. All of which will have him once again amongst the top scorers in the league. Big Walnut will heavily rely on their forward to fill it up this season. A rebounding presence with a solid basketball IQ. A player we’re excited to watch this season.
Bilal Sow (6’5” / PF 2020 / Canal Winchester): Bilal Sow is our pick to be the player of the year in the OCC-Capital. Sow has became more consistent from deep which will undoubtedly have him as a riser this winter. Still a big inside presence that can out physical would be defenders. Bigger forward that plays bigger than six-foot-five.
Cole Metzler (6’5” / C 2020 / Canal Winchester): The other big for Canal Winchester puts a bow on the best front court in the league. Metzler is a menace on the boards where he can really get after it. Could very well lead the league in rebounds. Also, takes care of second chance points often. A problem on defense for opposing bits. Metzler is one of the better 2020 centers available in the area. Easy pick here.
Second Team:
Kade Bafford – Newark
Elijah Monroe – Groveport Madison
Keegan Schaub – New Albany
Drew Ballinger – Newark
Jaden Woods – Newark
