Continue ReadingA couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend the JUCO Rocky Mountain Jamboree at Power2Play in Windsor, featuring some of the top junior college teams across the midwest. My take away: every high school athlete wishing to pursue the game at the next level go check out some junior college games, there is some impressive talent at that level. Not to mention, easily over one-hundred college coaches and scouts from all levels there to take in the talent. Each player out there was playing with a sense of urgency and a chip on their shoulder, trying to prove they belong. I will definitely take the opportunity down the road to take in more junior college games as I was thoroughly impressed.
A lot of local Colorado kids were competing at the event as well which was fun to see. Below is a list of local players competing at the Juco level this year, including a couple state champions and others who had very successful high school careers.
