Cox was absolutely in a zone! He has a feathery jump shot which he knocked down from three point range along with a couple tough fade aways. More than just a shooter he won off the dribble and was effective using shot fakes to set up his moves. Scored 50 points in that contest! Crafty scorer that is going to post monster numbers this season in southern Illinois this season. He spoke with us about that performance.
“It was fun. We started off the game early and got a pretty good lead. We started playing good and went back and forth.”
Playing in the Jets Fall League has helped create some buzz for the Triad senior.
“It has been really fun. There is a lot of competition. Our team is pretty good. We come out and try to win.”
He talked about his biggest assets as a prospect.
“I feel like mainly I am a good shooter and passer and ball handler.”
How is his team looking heading into to the high school season?
“I think we are going to be real good this year. We got a new coach this year. Our team has a new mindset. We are ready to go.”
Cox chatted about his recruitment.
“I am hearing from a few D2 and D3 schools like Missouri Baptist and Millikin. A few schools in Indiana. The guy I talk too from Missouri S&T wants me to come on an official visit.”
