The South Central Falcons ran the tables in to win the NCHSAA 4A State Championship. With some movement on the transfer market, here are some teams to keep an eye on as early title favorites.

1. Millbrook Wildcats

2018-19: 27-2, 12-0 Conference

The Millbrook Wildcats return with a ton of talent from last year's 27-2 squad. They made it to the Final Four of last year's 4A State Tournament and with Nolan Dorsey, Jalen Mccoy, Will Felton, Eric van der Heijden and Sam Hood back for 2019-20, they're ready for another run to the 4A title. They'll have a deeper and more experienced squad this go-round.

2. North Mecklenburg Vikings

2018-19: 23-5, 13-1 Conference

The North Mecklenburg Vikings will have an experienced rotation with Tristan Maxwell and Trayden Williams leading the way in 2019-20. The backcourt duo can do quite the damage on both ends and after falling to R.J. Reynolds in the third round last year, they'll look to avenge last year's upset.

3. Olympic Trojans

2018-19: 21-6, 12-0 Conference

The Olympic Trojans are led by VCU-bound guard Josh Banks in 2019-20. The Trojans lost in the third round of the NCHSAA 4A State Tournament to West Charlotte this past season. After an early end, Banks and company will look to make a run in this year's tournament. Trevon Williams is another prospect to keep an eye on at Olympic as well.

4. R.J. Reynolds Demons

2018-19: 22-7, 7-3 Conference

R.J. Reynolds was one of the surprise teams in last year's NCHSAA 4A State Tournament, making it all the way to the Final Four as a No. 9 seed. They shouldn't take many by surprise with a trio of Caden Davis, Tobias Johnson and Tyriek Leach in 2019-20. Keep an eye on the Demons.

5. South Central Falcons

2018-19: 30-1, Conference: 12-0

It's hard to count out the South Central Falcons even with the losses of Day'ron Sharpe (transfer to Montverde), Shykeim Phillips, Jahzeer Baker and Jeremy Lewis. They'll need to reload from last year's 4A squad but Coach Ron Cherry typically has his guys ready to go when the season kicks off.
