Hillcrest Prep Mid-Day Madness

<p>I was invited out to Hillcrest Prep’s Mid-Day Madness. Overall, it was an amazing event. A ton of kids from the community were in attendance and you could tell that they were almost in awe of what they were seeing. Really cool to see a high school basketball team create that much joy and excitement for their fans! </p> <p>HCP’s National Team took on their Post Grad but they were without Kyree Walker and Sadraque Nganga. However, even without those studs, Hillcrest Prep still has loads of talent on their roster! </p> <p>Dalen Terry is one of my favorite prospects in state and he really put on a show for the kids. He seized every opportunity he had to display a big time dunk and get the kids hyped! Really excited to see what this season holds for the Arizona commit. </p> <p>Next, I was really excited to see Mike Foster and Keon Edwards play in person finally! I’ve seen all of the rankings, highlight videos, and a ton of offers coming in. Nothing beats seeing a prospect in person with your own eye. </p> <p>Foster is a physical freak. Ridiculously strong, fast, and mobile. Right now, he looks like more of an athlete than anything else. I think he lacks a bit in skill but he is still super young and that skill development should come over the years. Either way, he is a big time prospect in my book with a high ceiling. </p> <p>Keon has a ton of potential as well. I could see him really turning into a dangerous player. He’s got all of the physical attributes to be a high major kid. Unfortunately, I think he had an off game today. </p> <p>Its very hard to judge a player only off of one game, especially since that game is a scrimmage for fun. So don’t take any criticism too seriously, that was just what I observed today.</p> <p>I will definitely keep a close eye on this squad all season long and expect to be in their gym quite often to cover them! Really excited to see what they accomplish this season!</p>
