<p>Time for our annual Fall series “Best in State”. In this we look each day at a different category and break down what players across the state are the best at that particular aspect of the game. Today we examine the <strong>Best in State: Lefties!</strong></p>

<p><strong>Adam Miller (Morgan Park)</strong></p>
<p>Miller is the top southpaw in the state. This lefty point guard is an elite level scorer that has deep range on his shot.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Marcus Watson (Morgan Park)</strong></p>
<p>Watson is a two way point guard that gets after it on the defensive end and is a high level passer. Committed to Wake Forest.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Connor Dillon (Peoria Notre Dame)</strong></p>
<p>The Winona State commit is a bouncy point guard that can explode to the rim along with knock down deep threes.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Connor Linke (St. Charles North)</strong></p>
<p>Linke is a skilled back to the basket post that uses his left hand to get points on the interior.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Dominic Martinelli (Glenbrook South)</strong></p>
<p>Crafty scorer that has a tremendous feel for getting buckets against any opponent he goes up against.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Marcus Skeete (Waubonsie Valley)</strong></p>
<p>Skeete is a thick bodied wing that has a unique game. Improving lefty jumper has opened up more ways to score.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Aaron Tims (Hinsdale South)</strong></p>
<p>Lefty power forward that uses his quickness around the hoop for second chance opportunities and has an opportunity to be a good mid-range shooter.</p>

<p><strong>Taaj Davis (Aurora Christian)</strong></p>
<p>Davis is a southpaw point guard that shoots daggers from three.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Damontae Taylor (Zion Benton)</strong></p>
<p>Taylor is a rangy lefty power forward that excels playing in the transition game throwing down dunks and protecting the rim defensively.</p>

<p><strong>Justin Cross (OPRF)</strong></p>
<p>Cross is a multi positional prospect that has length and versatility on both ends of the floor.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Reggie Strong (Orr)</strong></p>
<p>Quick and aggressive left handed point guard that wins off the bounce and is a solid defender.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Jack Weber (El Paso Gridley)</strong></p>
<p>Weber can stretch the floor as a face up four man. Also flashes skill on the block.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Jack Holmstrom (Rockford Guilford)</strong></p>
<p>This lefty 6’6” small forward has nice strength and plays with a lot of toughness. The skill set is there as well being able to shoot it off the catch or connect on mid-range shots. </p>

<p><strong>John Poulakidas (Neuqua Valley)</strong></p>
<p>Poulakidas is among the top wings in the junior class. The lefty can really shoot it from deep and has greatly improved his all-around game.</p>

<p><strong>Shaun Riley (O’Fallon)</strong></p>
<p>Bouncy lefty post that hits the offensive glass and finishes well around the hoop.</p>

<p><strong>Nathanael Hoskins (Danville)</strong></p>
<p>Hoskins is a crafty lefty guard that makes sound decisions with the ball.</p>

<p><strong>Jeffery Oakley (Perspectives)</strong></p>
<p>New name that has emerged in recent months. Long and lanky small forward that attacks with force.</p>
