Time for our annual Fall series “Best in State”. In this we look each day at a different category and break down what players across the state are the best at that particular aspect of the game. Today we examine the Best in State: 2021 Mid-Range Games!

Max Christie (Rolling Meadows)

Christie can score it in bunches from the mid-range area. That might be the strength of the top junior’s game.

John Poulakidas (Neuqua Valley)

Really improved as a ball handler over the last year which has opened up his ability to get to his spots in the mid-range.

Isaiah Barnes (OPRF)

Ultra smooth wing that can fill it up in bunches! Pull up game is on point for this top 10 junior!

Grant Newell (Whitney Young)

Face up four man excels working in the 15-18 foot range with his shooting and floor spacing.

Troy D’Amico (Niles Notre Dame)

One of the top small forwards in the class can score from all three levels, but might be most effective from the mid-range area of the floor.

Conor Enright (Mundelein)

Enright is a rock solid lead guard that from a scoring standpoint likes to operate from the mid-range letting his jumper fly!

Andrew Johnson (Joliet West)

Johnson is one of the many Illinois T-Wolves talented wings that shines in this area of the floor. Like his toughness and shot making ability.

Reggie Ward (Curie)

Ward is making the move over to Curie this year. The strong small forward will open eyes with his jumper and mid-post game.

Noah Livingston (Casey-Westfield)

Livingston is a stop and pop threat from anywhere on the floor, but we have seen him really shine from mid-range with elevation off the floor.

Noah Franklin (Cobden)

Lefty 6’5” point-forward that shines operating in the 15-18 foot range with his shot, strength, and passing.

Julio Montes (Lincoln Park)

Montes is half of Lincoln Park’s dynamic backcourt this season. What we like about his game is the stop and pop ability shooting off the bounce.
