Every year there are a number of guys from "small" schools who make it to the college level. The Class of 2020 should be no different. The updated rankings contain a number of guys from the 1A to 4A levels who should find themselves playing basketball at the next level. Here's a look at the top ones.

Payton Richardson (2020 Western Christian) - #7

Western Christian is the defending 2A champs and with Ben Gregg moving up to 6A, Richardson is the odds-on favorite to the 2A Player of the Year. The 6-foot-4 swingman is a great athlete and has improved on his outside shooting and overall perimeter skills to become a solid D-II and fringe D-I college prospect. He recently earned offers from Seattle Pacific and Corban and may be looking at signing early this fall.

Koby Williamson (2020 Santiam Christian) - #16

Williamson is the top big man among the 3A ranks and is a real factor on the defensive boards and as a shot-blocker. Offensively, he's worked on his perimeter shot enough to be a potential stretch-four at the next level. Williamson has gotten looks from a number of D-II and NAIA programs in the recruiting process and it appears he will wait until the spring to sign.

George Sadi (2020 De La Salle North) - #19

Despite helping lead De La Salle North to a repeat 3A title and win Player of the Year, Sadi remains very much under the recruiting radar. He may be only 5-foot-9 at best but he's ultra strong and athletic and can get really hot from three-point range. There are questions if he can play point guard because of his size but the bottom line is that he's a "player" and should be getting more looks at the college level.

Jacob Slifka (2020 Banks) - #25

Another guy who was a big part of a title team - in his and Banks case, the 4A level - Slifka is very lanky and a smooth shooter, especially from the mid-range. With Blake Gobel moving on to play college football, the 6-foot-4 wing will have more responsibilities put on his shoulders this season as the Braves seek a repeat.

Jett Sheng (2020 Catlin Gabel) - #42

Sheng is a shifty point guard who can score as well as distribute. He's improved his strength and his ability to get to the basket and finish among bigger players. The 5-foot-10 senior is also a high-academic student who has garnered college interest from D-III programs up and down the West Coast.

Matt Eidler (2020 Trinity Lutheran) - #47

Eidler is in many ways a secret as he's hidden not only in 1A but also in Central Oregon. But the 6-foot-5 wing has already scored over 1,600 career points and he's already on the college recruiting radar having earned a scholarship offer from Multnomah. The sweet-shooting forward could be the favorite for 1A Player of the Year.

Ryan Hague (2020 Seaside) - #54

Hague has been a big part of Seaside's success the past three seasons as the Seagulls have reached the title game three times, winning twice. The 6-foot-2 guard can really score from the perimeter and is extremely aggressive going to the basket.

Blake Lambert (2020 Life Christian) - #56

Little guys always seem to have something to prove but Lambert uses that chip on his shoulder to his advantage. The 5-foot-4 point guard is absolutely fearless on the basketball floor and has routinely gone up against bigger opponents and held his own. He'll spearhead a Life Christian team seeking a 1A title this season.
