* This isn’t a ‘Top 20’, but 20 players with talent/storylines/etc.
Ann Arbor Huron
Tyson Edmondson (2021, G)
Edmondson was one of the most improved players in the state during grassroots season. He can score and distribute at a high level.
Julian Lewis (2021, G/F)
Lewis has turned himself into a bona fide Division 1 prospect. He’s a 3 level scorer and an elite perimeter defender.
Kingsley Perkins (2021, F)
I’ve been high on Perkins since 8th grade. He’s athletic and springy, making him a top notch rim protector.
Michael Robinson (2020, F)
Robinson put on a show this summer. He’s athletic and versatile with a very high ceiling.
Devin Womack (2021, G)
Womack really improved as a ball handler and passer over the last year. He’s a top 15-20 player in Michigan’s junior class.
Ann Arbor Pioneer
Christopher Holmes (2020, C)
He won’t stand out in the layup line, but I’d certainly want him on my roster. Holmes is tough on the glass and willing to throw his body around in the paint.
Aidan Lee (2021, G)
With the loss of Lowder and Pryor, Lee should see a lot more looks at the rim. He’s strong with the ball and an energy player.
Mac VanRenterghem (2020, G)
VanRenterghem could reach star status this season. He has good straight line speed, is efficient with the ball, and is a lockdown defender.
Ann Arbor Skyline
Ashay Arora (2021, G)
Arora is a talented guard that has been waiting in the wings at Skyline. It feels like this is his year to make some noise.
Kabir Bergin (2020, F)
Bergin is generally considered a top 20 prospect in the senior class. He’s a versatile player that can play inside-out or outside-in depending on his matchup.
Chris Cayton (2021, G)
Cayton will show that he is an elite point guard in the state this season. He has good start-stop speed and strong handles.
Dinalli DeLoach (2021, F)
DeLoach is a bouncy forward that can make the exciting play look easy. He will be a big play maker for Skyline.
Bedford
Kylon King (2020, G)
King was a consistent scorer for Bedford last season. He could be in for a big senior season and will be critical to Bedford’s success.
Matt Kohler (2020, G)
Kohler had a really nice grassroots season and showed a lot of development in his game. He can facilitate an offense and recognizes high percentage scoring opportunities.
Monroe
Gabe Johnson (2020, F)
Johnson really impressed at the Prep Hoops Top 250. He’s playing his best basketball at the right time as we approach the start of the high school season.
Xander Middleton (2022, G)
Middleton is a talented scorer on the wing. He’s a potential program changer that could lead Monroe to a lot of success over the next few years.
Saline
Trevor Arico (2020, G)
Arico is an elite shooter from behind the arc. He moves without the ball in Rip Hamilton type fashion.
Tyler Belskus (2021, F)
Belskus is a bouncy forward. He’s active on the glass and can finish at the rim or stretch the D with his corner jumper.
Cooper Fairman (2022, G/F)
Fairman had an impressive and productive summer. He did a nice job polishing his skills and defining his game.
Griffin Yaklich (2020, G)
Yaklich is a tall and strong guard. He gets a defender on his back shoulder and drives to the rim. Yaklich has established himself as a top 20 prospect in the senior class.
