Who are some players at the Class AAAA level that Minnesota should get to know that are truly under the radar as talents? Prep Hoops introduces you to some names today.

[player_tooltip player_id="774895" first="Caden" last="Boettcher"] of Maple Grove. Six-foot-3 wing [player_tooltip player_id="774895" first="Caden" last="Boettcher"] had some of his best games at the end of last season scoring a dozen in the state tournament game but also 14 versus Buffalo in the section title game and another 14 in the final game of the regular season. The Crimson have a number of players expected to step into big roles and Caden is one of them.

[player_tooltip player_id="774800" first="Karsten" last="Clay"] of Northfield. As an underclassmen in the Big Nine Karsten came off the bench and had a fantastic impact. The type of impact that led to four-five buckets a game and an excitement about what he could do the next two years.

[player_tooltip player_id="846242" first="Quentin" last="Hegg"] of Moorhead. The 6-foot-1 Hegg was at times the motor of the Spuds. He played with scholarship talents and young studs around him but Hegg’s consistency as a 13 point per game scorer was another reason the Spuds had such a good winter. He’s also a standout baseball player.

[player_tooltip player_id="955885" first="Stephen" last="Olander"] of Rochester Century. We have talked a lot about teammate [player_tooltip player_id="549381" first="Jack" last="Fisher"] but [player_tooltip player_id="955885" first="Stephen" last="Olander"] is another reason that Century has a chance for a big winter. Olander was the other double figure scorer last year and the 6-foot-2 win actively boards at his size and he shoots well at the arc.

[player_tooltip player_id="774791" first="David" last="Osayameh"] of Coon Rapids. David is one of the most explosive juniors in the state that might not get the headlines that he should. David put up 11 and 6 a game last year including huge games against Park Center (19) and Anoka (26 in the playoff win). David also had a strong showing with Team Get Shook.

[player_tooltip player_id="846241" first="Daniel" last="Rosenber"] of Burnsville. It’s time for [player_tooltip player_id="846241" first="Daniel" last="Rosenber"] to have his day. Who did Rosenber have his 20 plus games against? Minnehaha Academy, Shakopee, and Lakeville South, the best teams he played against. Rosenber saved his best for his best, and now that 13 a game could be 20 a contest as a senior. Rosenber is a 6-foot-4/6-foot-5 wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="958644" first="Shawn" last="West-Zimpel"] of North St. Paul. Shawn was one of the top freshman scorers in Class AAAA basketball a year ago scoring nearly 10 a contest in 18-19. There are lot of freshman that made an impact but Shawn made a bigger impact than most. What’s next for his sophomore year?

[player_tooltip player_id="846217" first="Dorell" last="Young"] of Forest Lake. Before Young got hurt at the end of January he was having an outstanding junior season as one of the top scorers in the SEC. Young scored 17 a game against a solid schedule and the 5-foot-9 guard will be hungry for more after missing ten games.
