He is without question one of the most explosive scoring wings in the state as he showed throughout the summer. Quick first step with a high level burst off the dribble. Plays well in transition and can shoot it with range. We caught up with Weston where he discussed the latest with his recruitment.
“Well on my visit to St. John’s they were very interested in me coming there. I’m going to visit Wake Forest on the 27th.”
Weston who is originally from the Northeast took a recent unofficial visit to St. John’s and broke that trip down with PHI.
“I really liked the campus. The facilities were nice and new and also it’s close to home so I feel that played a big role in it. I also like the way Coach Anderson’s style of play is. He likes to run up and down and get it out in transition and that’s the play style I would like to play. He told me he likes to let his players play free and just play basketball. Also the gym is open until 2 AM so I can get shots up whenever.”
Also took a visit to another Big East program in Seton Hall.
“The facilities were amazing and I love the way coach ran practice. It was very structured. Also off campus there are a lot of different food places and Seton Hall is close to home.”
Several other programs he would like to visit this fall include Wake Forest, Illinois, UConn, and Northwestern.
“Yea I go to Wake Forest on September 27. Illinois sometime in November or October. I have to ask my mom about the rest.”
Weston currently sits at #3 overall in the 2021 class rankings.
