Class AA – The New Coaches
Roughly twenty percent of the Class AA basketball programs in Minnesota changed coaches after the 2018-19 season. Who are the new coaches? Here is the list.
Jim Bentson – Pillager.
Justyn Burgess – Brooklyn Center.
John Connolly – Hiawatha Collegiate.
Kory Deadrick – Proctor. The former Esko talent is quickly moving in the coaching world. He did a nice job with the Playmakers and is now a head basketball coach.
Tom Doyscher – Norwood-Young America.
Justin Femrite – Spectrum.
Adam Jensen – Benson.
Kevin Keto – St. Paul Academy.
Brian Korf – Pelican Rapids. Former Lester Prairie Coach that took the Bulldogs to state 13 years ago and is now back on the bench.
Kevin Kuefler – Sauk Centre.
Eric Larson – Rochester Lourdes. Recent head coach at Mankato Loyola (of three years) moves to Rochester and takes the Lourdes job.
Bennett Lerud – Milaca.
TJ Lowe – Winona Cotter.
Rob Makela – Holdingford.
Ariel McDonald – Maranatha Christian Academy. Former Gopher basketball talent and overseas star was at Providence Academy last year and now replaces Robert Ware. Ware actually hired McDonald before taking an admin job in the Robbinsdale school district.
Lee Miller – Shattuck-Saint Mary’s.
Jed Moseman – New Life Academy.
Tim Sension – Breck. Tim Sension is back at Breck! He spent six years as the Breck from 96 to 2002 followed by three state titles coaching Hopkins girls.
Robert Steiger – LeSueur-Henderson.
Chad Suter – Barnesville.
Todd Tinklenberg – Pipestone Area.
Adam Tyhurst – Sibley East.
Dover-Eyota – TBD
Providence Academy – TBD.
