We will look at the Most Outstanding Player at the Top 250 from the freshman class. We will also look at 4 Honorable Mentions that also impressed.
* If you aren’t on the list, it doesn’t mean you didn’t have a great day. Watching hundreds of players makes impossible to see everyone’s best moments.
Most Oustanding Player
Prince Jackson (PG, Farmington)
Jackson is a skilled lead guard with a high ceiling. He handled the ball with both hands with ease and was strong and accurate with his passes. Jackson consistently hit jumpers from mid range and behind the arc. He also showed a nice hesitation dribble that had his defender scrambling. Jackson will definitely be an asset on a talented Farmington team.
Honorable Mention
Luke Hazelton (6’6″, F, Glen Lake)
Hazelton has as much potential as anyone in the class at the Top 250. His combination of size, strength, and shooting make him a very intriguing prospect. Hazelton will be a weapon on varsity as a freshman.
Mike Lividini (5’8″, PG, Southfield Christian)
Lividini handled the ball virtually turnover free all day. He’s deceptively explosive with it, lulling his defender to sleep before he goes past them. Lividini showed the ability to finish from mid range with a nice little floater.
Gaden Muxlow (6’1″, G, Brown City)
Muxlow is just tough for a freshman. He was able to battle with older, and at times bigger, players. I was also impressed with Muxlow’s ability to pass from the perimeter or the paint.
Jakhary Towns (5’11”, CG, Godwin Heights)
Towns has big time potential. He’s a solid ball handler that can dribble through pressure. He can attack the rim and finish in transition. Towns plays very fast, is mature physically for his age, and will be a dangerous freshman in Michigan.
