However, don’t sleep on South Christian’s Big Three of Tyler Bulwada, Connor Kok, and Adam Rearick, all of which have the talent and chemistry to be a Big Three all of West Michigan should fear.
Tyler Buwalda, 6’0” Guard
Buwalda runs the South Christian offense with a sense of control that instills confidence in his teammates. Buwalda keeps the pace for this offense with his ability to drive to the basket at times that the offense breaks down. His ball-handling and ability to put his teammates in a position to score are attributes that his team will rely on this season.
Connor Kok, 6’6” Guard/Small Forward
Kok has already established himself in South Christian lore last March when he hit a pull-up jumper to give South Christian a narrow 64-62 win over Grand Rapids Catholic Central in a Division 2 Regional Championship Game. It’s that type of confidence that South Christian will hope to lean on this year in close games down the stretch. In addition to his clutch ability, Kok uses his 6’6” frame in a variety of ways on the offensive end to score as well on the defensive side of the ball to disrupt passing lanes and cause turnovers.
Adam Rearick, 6’4” Guard/Small Forward
Rearick is a versatile swing guard that has the lateral ability and intelligence to guard multiple positions. Adam utilizes his athletic skillset to high-point rebounds against both opposing guards and bigs. Look for him to expand his game this upcoming season on both sides of the court.
