Over the last couple of months, we’ve done our best to keep you updated with the latest happenings from around the region. In this series, we’ll be taking a look at some more recent transfers and what they will mean for both the player and the new team.
ISAIAH FOLKES | 6’3 G | MIDDLEBURG ACADEMY ’21
Folkes has decided to reclassify into 2021 which has already helped his recruitment. Playing at Middleburg will give him the opportunity to play high-level competition on a nightly basis.
LOU HUTCHINSON | 6’5 G | EPISCOPAL ’22
In the short-term, Hutchinson will provide immediate depth for what should be a really good backcourt at Episcopal. In the long-term, the Maroon have acquired a solid young player to build around moving forward.
JACK JENSEN | 6’7 F | PAUL VI ’21
Jensen will bring size, energy and additional depth to the Panthers front court. His best basketball is ahead of him and this could be the year when he begins to realize his full potential.
MAURICE JOHNSON | 6’4 SF | FRIENDSHIP TECH ’21
Johnson will bring versatility to the Titans with his length and athleticism. He will guard several positions, protect the paint, catch lobs and put-backs. Johnson still has so much room to grow and he will likely be given plenty of opportunity to do so.
DEANDRE MARTIN | 6’0 G | WOODROW WILSON ’20
The addition of Martin to the Tigers backcourt gives them an experienced shot maker who is also a reliable playmaker. He could be a big part of what Wilson wants to do this year.
