There's been a lot of movement on the boy's basketball scene recently. Here's a look at some notable transfers to a few programs in the HoopState.

Clayton High School

Forward B.J. Freeman is transferring from Word of God Christian Academy to Clayton High School. Freeman has had quite a busy summer, recently racking up an offer from Purdue University in recent days. He's up to five Division I offers after having a productive summer with Team Loaded North Carolina on the Adidas circuit.

Another addition at Clayton High School is Mason Rusch from Calvary Christian (KY). Rusch averaged 25.6 per game for Calvary Christian this past season at the guard position. As a proven shooter, he should make for a solid option in the rotation alongside B.J. Freeman.

Combine Academy

Combine Academy has undergone a "reboot" of sorts with the hiring of former NBA player and North Carolina Tar Heel Jeff McInnis to take over as head coach. McInnis is also the director of Team Charlotte, a team featured on the Under Armour Circuit.

Since hiring McInnis, Combine has attracted the services of 2021 big man Jacori Owens, 2022 point guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, 2021 guard Kris Robinson, 2021 wing Arki Thornton and 2023 guard Robert Dillingham. Owens and Hood-Schifino are already getting looks from high-major programs. Owens already has an offer from Elon while Hood-Schifino has offers from Pitt, Clemson and Wake Forest among others. Dillingham is an emerging prospect that's coming down the pipeline.

Combine Academy is one school to keep an eye on as they're loading up with talent on their roster.

Word of God Christian Academy

Highly-regarded prospect Isaiah Todd is moving from Trinity (Raleigh) to Word of God Christian Academy and he won't be the only player moving to the program as Knightdale guard Jalen McDonald will be joining him as well.

Todd recently announced his final 5 schools of Memphis, Kentucky, Michigan, Kansas and North Carolina. He's coming off a season with Trinity where he averaged 28 points and 15 rebounds. He'll produce a whole lot more with some talent by his side.

McDonald is a freak athlete that's developing his jump shot as well. He's getting looks from Division I programs already with offers from Murray State, East Carolina and Appalachian State.

Lincoln Academy

6-foot-5 guard Bryce McGowens will leave the state of South Carolina and join Lincoln Academy in Winston-Salem for their inaugural season in the HoopState. McGowens is a highly rated prospect from the state of South Carolina with offers already from Georgia, Florida, South Carolina among other high-major programs after averaging 26.0 points per game as a sophomore.

Rhode Island commit Elijah Wood will transfer from Bethesda-Chevy Chase (MD) to Lincoln Charter as well. Wood spent the last three seasons at Bethesda-Chevy Chase where he's made a name for himself and even committed to play at the next level. With a change of scenery his senior season, look for him to turn a corner.
