Michael Dominguez picked some solid teams early-on that could contend for the state title next basketball season. I really can't argue with any of them (they're all going to be really good unless there are some injuries or something else happens) but I'd add there are some more squads that have a chance to make some noise. Here are a few of them:

Chandler

The Wolves should still have a solid squad of players, regardless of the fact that they graduated a ton of their quality seniors from last season. The group should be led by a pair of juniors in Carson Kelly and Isaiah Broady, who will be able to initiate most of the offense. If everybody else can contribute and the team plays defensively as hard as they have in the past, they can make some noise.

Basha

Another Chandler school that could be quality is Basha. They return their top scorer in Trenton McLaughlin, who could prove one of the best scorers in the class. CJ Noder is another player that could make a leap, with more emphasis being put on him.

Mountain Pointe

The Pride will definitely miss DeAndre Henry, who transferred out of the program. But, the guard combo of TJ Tigler and Jason Kimbrough will try to make up some of the slack for the loss of Khalid Price. They will be able to move the ball well, and use each other's abilities to score and defend other guard tandems.

Desert Ridge

The Jaguars had a rough season last year, but bring back a bunch of talented players after other teams lost so many to graduation. They return top scorer Joe Kelsey, as well as a ton of other players that can make a difference on the court. Some of the upcoming seniors are Caleb Alonso and Brennan Armijo. I'm interested to see if this squad can become a contender.
