On the 22nd, the Top 250 Expo will travel back to Virginia where it will take place at Riverbend High School. In anticipation of the upcoming expos in the area, we’re in the process of highlighting 30 prospects who benefited respectively from last year’s local showcases. Today, we take a look at 2019 big man Miles Mallory of St. Vincent Pallotti.
PRE-CAMP
Mallory was one of the most highly touted prospects heading into last year’s camp. He had good experience playing varsity for Pallotti and was an impact player for them especially on defense. Mallory led the Capitol Hoops Summer League in blocks while averaging over 14 points and 7 rebounds per game.
DURING CAMP
As expected, Mallory was one of the best big men in attendance at the showcase. He rebounded and blocked shots at a high rate, but also scored consistently inside and out.
POST-CAMP
Mallory would go on to have a productive senior campaign and attracted interest from schools of all levels. He ultimately committed to Randolph Macon College of the ODAC. The Yellow Jackets beat out several local D3’s including St. Mary’s College of Maryland for his services.
