As summer ball is now in full swing, Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at some of the state’s top players on the rise in a variety of positions.
Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class
Conor Haviland, 6’0, G, 2020, Humboldt
A composed player who can get buckets and get his teammates the ball. He’s a talented rebounder and works hard to get in position and outsmart his opponents in the paint who are usually taller. He can use his size to his advantage on the perimeter and he can score inside and out when he has the look.
Justin Zimmers, 6’0, G, 2020, Eureka
Zimmers keeps his head up and is always looking for a teammate running the floor. He has good handles and can find his way through a full court press and still get the ball where it needs to go. He is a player you want to have the ball in transition as he zips the ball up the floor and can make some daring cross court passes on the move.
Brenden Graham, 5’11, G, 2020, Field Kindley
A smart defender who moves his feet well and takes his time on offense. He runs hard and is good at jumping passing lanes and tipping away the ball. He’s an athletic player with good speed and shows the ability to handle pressure and dribble his way around opponents. He’s a smart offensive player as well and can knock down shots from distance.
Cole Sinclair. 6’1, G, 2020, Classical
A slim guard who can score for himself and shoot well after the catch. He can be patient with the ball and is a good passer on the perimeter and has good size to get inside and mix things up. Sinclair has a clean shot and is a good shooter when he’s comfortable and in the zone.
Caleb Noyes, 5’5, G, 2020, Caldwell
A smaller guard who outworks his opponents. He doesn’t have great size but he brings speed and control to the floor. He can handle the ball well and can beat a press and find his way out of defensive traps. He can score well at times and gets opened looks through his movement and activity on the defensive end.
