Anthony Sayles (Niles Notre Dame – 2021)
Sayles was absolutely spectacular on Saturday when we saw him go to work against St. Laurence. The top 2021 lead guard in the state said, “I have been hearing from a bunch of schools. I recently got an offer from Coach Porter Moser at Loyola. I got an offer from Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Tulsa has been showing a lot of interest. Drake as well. Butler has a lot of interest. Yale has reached out.” We talked about the two offers starting with Loyola. “Great coaching staff. They are like family. I played with Coach Moser’s son.” How about Milwaukee? “I have known Coach Baldwin my whole life. I grew up with Pat Jr and that is a great connection.”
Walter Mattingly (Deerfield – 2021)
This combo forward continued to show he is an intriguing prospect at the next level over the weekend with his size and skill. On the trail he said, “I went to Wright State for an unofficial. I am going to go up to Siena and Brown in August for camps.” What did he like about Wright State? “All the coaches were really nice and so was the arena. It is big. I like the environment meeting all the coaches.”
Jaylin Gibson (Evanston – 2021)
Gibson is the ultimate utility guy with his versatility on both ends of the floor. With recruiting he told PHI, “Drake, Florida Atlantic, Miami (OH), Appalachian State have talked to me. I recently got an offer from Wisconsin-Milwaukee.” Over the weekend Drake jumped in even more to the mix extending an offer. Chicago State jumped in with an offer on Tuesday.
Troy D’Amico (Niles Notre Dame – 2021)
The versatile top 15 prospect told PHI on his recruitment, “I have been in contact with Tulsa, Drake, Loyola, and Colorado State. I have offers from St. Louis and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.”
Blake Peters (Evanston – 2021)
The state’s top perimeter shooter regardless of class updated us on what schools are looking at him for the next level saying, “UIC, Princeton, Drake, UW-Milwaukee, Dartmouth, Miami (OH), Loyola, and Valpo have talked to me.” His lone offer at this point is Wisconsin-Milwaukee. “I have known Coach Baldwin for a while playing with his son Patrick (Baldwin Jr). I love him as a person. He is a really great guy and it would be an honor to play for him.”
Scottie Ebube (Mundelein – 2021)
This physical five man had a lot of coaches asking about him over the weekend. Right now he told us, “I have interest from Tulsa and Purdue.”
Julius Rollins (Hillcrest – 2021)
Rollins is a long and rangy combo forward with upside. He chatted with PHI saying, “Currently I have two offers from UIC and SEMO.” What does he like about UIC? “It is close to home so my family can come to the games.” How about SEMO? “I have always wanted to go out of state for school. They have a beautiful arena.”
Conor Enright (Mundelein – 2021)
Enright is a rock solid lead guard who makes shots from the perimeter. His play at the Ridgewood Live Event earned him a scholarship offer from IUPUI!
