White displays a nice skill set on the court. He can handle the ball and attack the basket with the ability to finish at the rim. White has a nice jumper from the perimeter that he hits with consistency. Defenders can’t sit back on him or he’ll bury a triple, but when they step out he can beat them off the dribble. White is also a very good rebounding guard.
White is constantly working to improve and become a more experienced player. He is working to become more of a shot blocking threat and improve his off the ball defense. White’s best experience as a player was playing at the AT&T Center last year for the All American/Spurs National Championship with his AAU team. This summer he is looking forward to the Prep Hoops Circuit regional tournament in Minneapolis.
The recruiting process has begun for Devin White. He has talked to a couple coaches from local schools, but is still flying under the radar a bit. He could bring a lot to the table at the next level. Obviously his skill set is valuable, but he provides much more than that. White has a passion for the game, for putting in work and getting better, and for seeing his team succeed.
White is driven by his goals. During the remainder of grassroots season he wants to pick ip interest from college coaches and receive an offer. He also wants to use the experience to grow as a player and as a person. White eventually wants to play at a Division 1 school and get a degree in Sports Medicine. He wants to become an athletic trainer to help athletes around the country.
“My greatest motivation to achieve my goals is my family and all my supporters who want to see me succeed.” – Devin White
