Recruiting Report: Grayson Haman (2020)

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fargo Davies graduated an excellent senior class after reaching the state championship game last winter. The Eagles will be in the mix to contend again this upcoming season in a big part with the talent they’ve got coming back. One of the guys poised for a huge breakout season is swingman Grayson Haman. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Haman, a 6-foot-3 to-be senior, was a bit guy last year for the Eagles, averaging about 5.5 points while knocking down 38 percent of his 3-pointers in limited minutes. Gone are three starters and heavy minute guys from last year’s team and Haman stands to fill in the gaps. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">By how he’s played this summer with his high school team and with ECI, he looks up for it. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Our coach puts us in a lot of team camps [during the summer],” said Haman. “That’s been really good for me to play. Last year I was more of a sixth man type. We had some really good seniors. I’ve gotten a lot better, playing against a lot of good competition.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Haman has the skills to score in bunches. He’s a very good perimeter and mid-range shooter, has the aggressiveness to hunt his shot and create for himself. His length and quickness allow him to cause problems on the defensive end when he’s locked in too. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Having a chance to play ECI has been beneficial for Haman not only because it has exposed him to top-level competition in weekend tournaments, but he’s been able to spend a lot of time with a lot of his teammates who are mostly in the Fargo area and they play a lot. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“We see each other a lot and work out together and play a lot,” Haman said. “It’s been really good. It’s fun having talented players to play with and against this much.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Beyond looking forward to an increased role next winter, Haman also has life beyond high school to look forward too as a number of colleges have taken an interest in getting him into their program. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I’ve been talking to a lot of DII NAIA schools,” said Haman. “Got an offer from U Mary. I went to a camp up there, toured a little bit. I haven’t toured a lot of other schools but I’ve been in contact with a few others. I have no idea on when I want to make a decision though, I’ve got some time still.”</span></p>
