DV vs AZ Compass Prep
Really wanted to check out this game due to the high talent on display. Unfortunately, Osasere Ighodaro was not in attendance but I felt that DV more than held their own. They even led more a good portion of the game. John Soloman looked very good! AZ Compass Prep eventually pulled away, they have so much talent. Frankie Collins and Devontes Cobbs really impressed me. Their defense was swarming and both were fun to watch due to their fast break alley-oops. This squad is scary talented.
Millennium vs Cesar Chavez
I was very much looking forward to this game because it was a match up between two of the top 2021’s in the state, DaRon Holmes and Ty Ty Washington. CC won the game by 2. Washington shot the ball extremely well. I felt that CC did a really good job trying to contain Holmes. He definitely got his own tonight but he looked less productive than I have seen him recently. Overall, it was a really fun matchup between two of the most talented players in AZ.
Ironwood Guards
Got a chance to check out Ironwood for a bit tonight. Their guard play is so strong! Dominic Gonzalez continued his scoring run and dropped 20+ points. Bailon Black looked really solid controlling the game with his pace. JJ White looks solid on defense which in turn created for himself offensively. I also thought Aaron Rice came in and produced fairly well. He brought a lot of energy and hustle to the game.
