The 2020 wing is a plus perimeter shooter that gets elevation on his shot. Especially good off the catch, but can make one pulling up as well. Was better putting the ball on the deck and with his added strength finished better inside at the Hard Work Live event with ET21 Buckeyes.
How did it go this past high school season with Richards?
“My year started off really great averaging 25 points and 30 in the Thanksgiving Tournament. Toward the end of the season we started to gel. It was a tough way to end the year not finishing out the way I wanted, but I can definitely say I improved my game every single day.”
The junior small forward spoke about the growth in his game.
“It has developed a lot. I have always been able to shoot, but now I am more of a scorer. Working on finishing at the rim and posting up. I feel now at 6’5” I can defend all positions and help any team that wants me.”
He is enjoying running with a new team this spring in ET21 Buckeyes.
“It is going great. I love my teammates and coaches. I feel like we are a really good team and have to keep playing better defense.”
Utah State and Richmond are monitoring him. He is garnering heavy D3 interest from Loras, Augustana, Greenville, Rose-Hulman, Allegheny, Illinois Wesleyan, and Grinnell.
He currently sets at #59 overall in the PHI 2020 rankings and the #11 small forward in the class.
