He put that on display in multiple outings we have seen him this spring with Team RWA on the PrepHoops Circuit. His all-around floor game also continues to make strides.
Frericks spoke with us about his junior campaign and how the experience of him and big man Frank Jakubicek playing together and how much it will help going forward.
“It was good. We started off pretty hot and lost a couple games in the middle there. We finished with a 14-2 run at the end. It is going to help a lot. We played a lot of minutes. We work well together. Doing that stuff as a junior is going to help us going into our senior years.”
His ability to run a team really made strides this season.
“I have been bringing up the ball and getting everyone situated. Running the team and doing my scoring also.”
What would he say are the strengths of his game at this stage?
“I get on the ball on defense. I can run a team and just play my game and get to the rim. Shoot threes.”
Frericks updated us on the latest with his recruitment.
“I recently took visits to Winona State and Wisconsin Green Bay. Wisconsin Milwaukee has been in there.”
Winona State got him on campus for a visit.
“We went to a game and I really liked the atmosphere and stadium. It isn’t the biggest place, but everyone is together.”
Green Bay also had him visit campus.
“It was awesome and I love how they play because any of them can bring the ball up the floor.”
Any other visits in the works?
“We were going to plan one for Milwaukee. Augustana has asked me to visit and so has University of Chicago.”
