Here are some of the rising junior standouts:
Frankie Collins PG 6’1 175 AZ Compass Prep (Dream Vision Next)
-Strong downhill scoring lead guard. Can absorb contact and score it in traffic. Drives the lane and bounces off shot blockers and can score it. Catch and shoot 3pt shooter with deep range. Can make strides with overall shooting but can find teammates in traffic and is a big time competitor. Good on the ball defensively and is very athletic.
Isaiah Broady SG 6’6 160 Chandler (AZ Firestorm 16)
-Deep 3pt range and great length. Runs the floor well and plays above the rim. Can use length to play the passing lanes when he is engaged. Once he is locked in, he has potential to being one of the better players in the 2021 class from AZ but has to plays hard all the time.
Fallou Cisse PF 6’7 190 AZ Compass Prep (California Select Black 17)
-Quick 4-man who is very athletic. Can throw it down above the rim in traffic. Good two handed rebounder and can fly up the court on the break. Has good agility and covers a lot of ground on defense. Can rip through and score or play with his back to the basket. He makes quick moves in the post with hook shots and drop steps.
Grady Lewis C 6’7 210 Sunnyslope HS (AZ Firestorm 16)
-Strong post player who is very athletic. Uses length and bounce to corral rebounds. Mostly scores on plays around the rim. Put-backs/hooks/floaters plus can rip through and score it through contact. Slowly developing his face-up game. Once he makes the proper strides, he will be more coveted. (Pictured on cover)
Steven Cervantes PG 5’11 150 Mesa HS (Arizona Legends 17U)
-Great off the pick/roll game. Changes speeds well and creates separation easily. He uses a quick first step often to get by defender. Has a big time floater game. Understands the game at a different level than most his age. He is tougher than he appears and will take charges and fight on defense.
