He made 10 3’s and averaged 17.5 PPG between those two games, giving his team a big boost with his outside shooting. Against Team Hickory, Norment went on a streak in the 2nd half where he hit 3 or 4 3’s in a short period of time, helping them gain ground and take home a double-digit win. I was impressed with Norment’s confidence and focus even when missing a shot or two; he remained aggressive and seemed to never shift his body language.
6’5 Quincy Ademokoya (Georgia Stars 2021)- Having already made a reputation as a high-level shooter in 2020, Ademokoya’s move to 2021 elevates him as a prospect even further. He has great size on the wing and seems to be asserting himself more this spring. Ademokoya has a quick, effortless release and is capable of reading closeouts for one-dribble pull-ups as well. In a big matchup against the Atlanta Xpress, Ademokoya came through with 18 points and 4 3’s, playing an important role in their 67-53 win. I’m interested to see the direction his recruitment takes with the decision to join the 2021 class.
6’6 Aleksandar Stoimenov (Team Hickory 2020)- Not the only one who had a nice performance in the Team Hickory-WHBH matchup, Stoimenov was impressive as well. The versatile forward went for 21 points and hit 4 3’s. He has a really nice looking shot for a player his size and is not shy about letting it go either. Stoimenov had some nice moments scoring the ball in other ways than outside shooting, keeping defenders guessing and creating mismatches. Forwards like him aren’t super common; I expect Stoimenov to have a good host of programs recruiting him this summer.
6’7 Brandon Harris (Georgia Stars)- Harris has been showing flashes of his ability and potential throughout the spring with the Stars. When I watched them this past weekend, he had 11 and 3 3’s in an easy win pool play win. Clearly these aren’t eye-popping numbers but he did it on a limited number of attempts and barely played in the 2nd half. He has been a bit streaky this travel season but if keeps becoming more consistent, Harris should regain some of the attention he had earlier in his high school career. Tall, skilled shooters are always have tons of value with college coaches and that’s what Harris looks to be.
6’1 Drew Patterson (PSB Elite McCarthy 2020)- After scoring 11 points and hitting 3 3’s in PSB’s opening night game against the Atlanta Allstars, it looks like Patterson continued to produce and raised his level of play as the weekend progressed. Patterson ended up averaging 13.5 PPG, 3 RPG, and 3 APG for the weekend, which was capped off by a 20-point performance against EAB where he went 5/10 from beyond the arc. He is comfortable from a variety of spots on the floor and gets hit shot off quickly. Not just a shooter, Patterson is quick with the ball and makes timely passes to teammates for easy baskets.
