Who were the best shooters that we saw at Battle at the Lakes from the state of Illinois? It was a good group of perimeter shooters!

Kyndall Davis (All-In Athletics 17U)

Davis has always been an adequate shooter, but this past weekend was the best we have ever seen the Bogan wing shoot it from three.

Dante Maddox (Young & Reckless 17U)

Maddox is a sniper from deep. More of a scorer than pure shooter, but when he gets set and elevation off the floor it is usually going in.

Josh Holmes (Young & Reckless 17U)

The De La Salle standout shot it very well over the weekend. Plus three point shooter that compliments his all-around scoring game.

Tristen Phillips (TS Wolverines 17U)

Phillips is a smaller point guard that was outstanding letting it fly from three on Saturday morning hitting an array of threes.

Jayden Johnson (Fundamental U 17U)

Johnson drilled seven triples in the semis to send his team to the championship game with a win over Wisconsin Playground. One of the best pure strokes in the class.

Connor Kochera (Fundamental U 17U)

This St. Viator small forward is also an outstanding perimeter shooter for Fundamental U. Most effective as a spot up shooter that moves well without the ball to get open.

Johnny Close (Team Rose 17U)

Close is a pure shooter that has a consistent stroke every time. One of the best three point shooters in the class.

Davis Walker (Team RWA 17U)

Walker is a scorer with a plus jumper mid-range and stretched it to three with some consistency against Sizzle.

Beau Frericks (Team RWA 17U)

Walker’s teammate might be the best shooter in the 2020 class. Elite three point shooter that also is very effective on one dribble pull ups.

Connor Webb (Team RWA 17U)

Webb is the prototype three and D wing that has really improved as a three point shooter over the last few years.

Rron Thaci (Big 3 Basketball 17U)

Thaci is a floor spacing combo forward with strength that has a good looking stroke from three.

John Poulakidas (Young & Reckless 16U)

Poulakidas was in a zone in the quarterfinals dropping 32 points including a ton of threes with his sweet lefty jumper!

Paul Zilinskas (ET21 Buckeyes 17U)

This small forward has always been a plus shooter, but now he is finding more ways to get his shot off and create space.
