The PH Circuit Bash in the Desert is officially over. We saw some high level play and some very exciting games. Throughout the week, our Prep Hoops scouts spent nearly 30 hours each scouting the players at the event. These are my top guards from the event:

James Burries 6'4 G PHH White 2020

James Burries was a walking bucket all weekend long! He was able to score the ball at ease. He easily had double figures in all of his games throughout the weekend. Burries can really put the ball on the floor and attack hard but also has a capable three point shot. He did get hot at times from deep and nailed a couple in a row and other times he was inconsistent from deep.

Nathaniel Lowe 5'11 G Utah Premier National Red 17U 2020

I really like Lowe's game. He is a traditional point guard. He loves to penetrate and dish to open teammates. He has great passing vision and quick handles. He is also a very good shooter. He doesn't look to score often or shoot very often but when he does, it went in. He looked solid from deep and was able to dribble drive on opponents.

Alem Huseinovic 6'3 G PHH Rise 2020

Alem was unreal this weekend. He really showed why he just got that Nevada offer. He is definitely known as a scorer and he does that well, shooting is extremely well from deep. However, he is an underrated passer and can really apply pressure on defense. That pressure often resulted in steals and dunks for himself or teammates.

Dayton Harris 6'2 G The Show 2020

Dayton Harris played as well as anyone this weekend. He might have had the best single game performance out of any guard at the event. In one game, he easily dished out 10 assists and scored 20 points. He simply could not miss and easily penetrated the defense and kicked it to open teammates.

Dayshawn Wiley 6'4 G Las Vegas Olympians 2021

Wiley is a very intriguing prospect. He has great size and strength, while having a knock down three point shot. He is quite the mismatch on offense. He is quick enough and strong enough to get to the basket and if you sag off to prevent the drive, he will pull it from deep and knock it down.
