Looking to watch Minnesota talent in the open period? We give you the current Minnesota top ten 17 and Under teams as well as their up and coming players to watch, and where to watch them.

D1 Minnesota

Where: Dallas at the Adidas Gauntlet

Name #1 to Watch: Steven Crowl had Michigan in to see him, has a UNI offer, and at 6-foot-10 with great feet, a soft touch and agility Crowl is knocking on the high major door.

Nate #2 to Watch: This D1 Minnesota roster includes only two new names, Crowl and Kendall Brown, a five star 2021 talent. Brown can be used by this team at about four different positions.

Grassroots Sizzle

Where: UAA Session 2 in Kansas City

Name #1 to Watch: Jalen Suggs was fantastic in the first UAA session leading to people believing that he is a top 5 player in the nation. So is he? Jalen has a chance to prove it this weekend.

Nate #2 to Watch: Terry Lockett. The talented point guard is back with his teammates this weekend after spending the winter at a prep school in Ohio.

Howard Pulley

Where: EYBL Session 1 in Atlanta

Name #1 to Watch: J'Vonne Hadley is one of the elite juniors in the state of Minnesota, but will he bring in high major offers? The EYBL place is the perfect proving ground.

Nate #2 to Watch: Another player that is in the same spot as Hadley is DT Frierson. What level of college prospect is DT? We will find out when he faces this high level of competition.

Fury Zurn

Where: Prep Hoops Circuit Hard Work Live in Madison

Name #1 to Watch: Charlie Katona put it all together in the semi-finals last weekend with a massive game attacking, hitting jumpers, and scoring in transition. Can he pick up where he left off? If so good things could be on the way.

Nate #2 to Watch: Two weekends down, two weekends that Nathan Heise has been fantastic. Will Nathan make it three of three this weekend?

Comets Lewis

Where: Spring Extravaganza in Milwaukee

Name #1 to Watch: Teams need shooters and a shooter with size is an even better option. Matthew Willert is 6-foot-6 with an explosive touch.

Nate #2 to Watch: Point guard Noah King is a leader and one of the toughest players out there. How will Noah perform in Milwaukee? It's a key item people are watching close.

Gain Elite

Where: Spring Extravaganza in Milwaukee

Name #1 to Watch: Iowa's hottest name right now might just be Jack Wetzel. He's had a 44 point game and several 20 plus point per game showings.

Nate #2 to Watch: Double-doubles have come the way of Amahn Decker so far and if the big can do it in Milwaukee offers could follow in the long term.

Comets DLR

Where: Spring Extravaganza in Milwaukee

Name #1 to Watch: One of the top shooters in Milwaukee will be PJ Hayes, a 6-foot-4/6-foot-5 scorer with an edge to him.

Nate #2 to Watch: A player that we are really high on potential wise is Austin Wetter. We think Austin could be a guy with multiple options in the very near future.

Select Cave

Where: Spring Extravaganza in Milwaukee

Name #1 to Watch: There are only a few 2021s playing up this year but one of them is Reid Patterson, a shooter from Lakeville North that scored 17 a game in big boy Minnesota hoops.

Nate #2 to Watch: As far as playmakers go one of the most interesting in Minnesota is Joich Gong. Gong is from Mankato East and he his first step blitzed by Big Nine players all year.

Matrix

Where: Prep Hoops Circuit Hard Work Live in Madison

Name #1 to Watch: College coaches will be on the baseline/sideline to see talented size and Jacob Jennissen is one of those players. Jacob is coming off a nice 16 point showing versus ECI.

Nate #2 to Watch: Putting up strong numbers in St. Cloud was Jacob Stolzenberg, a wing that went for double figures three different times.

Heat West

Where: Prep Hoops Circuit Hard Work Live in Madison

Name #1 to Watch: So is Agwa Nywesh ready to take on the world? He might just be. At one point his brother AJ was a D1 player and last weekend Nywesh was a defensive menace, he hit threes, and finished explosively. Will that be the case again?

Nate #2 to Watch: Essay Hagos scored a dozen a game this winter and gave Heat West a similar scoring long plus he was one of the top Heat defenders.
