<p>AAU basketball continues this weekend as the Portland Classic sponsored by The Hoop Salem will take place in venues around the Portland suburbs. Several of the top teams from the PDX metro area will be in attendance with the 17U division specifically held at Tualatin High School and Clackamas Community College, April 6 and 7.</p>
<p>The 17U division will consist of six pools of 18 total teams. Here's a look at the top teams and players that will be participating.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Hoop Salem</strong></span> - Hoop Salem will have several teams in the event including their top 17U squad, Hoop Salem Select, Hoop Salem Seniors, and Hoop Salem Varsity. The top 17U squad finished in second place at the Hoop Madness Spring Showcase last weekend. In that event, <strong>Kaelan O'Neil</strong> (2020 Churchill), <strong>Drayton Caoile</strong> (2019 West Linn), and <strong>Mason Lomax</strong> (2020 Sprague) all shined in their first action of the year. <strong>Trey Galbraith</strong> (2020 South Salem) will anchor the Select team, which also has <strong>Isaiah Wallace</strong> (2020 Churchill) and <strong>Greyson Salinas</strong> (2020 Sprague) in the backcourt. Seniors is an unsigned seniors team which could feature any number of Class of 2019 standouts still looking to sign this spring, while the Varsity squad should feature a number of smaller high school products from the Salem area.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Jordan Fly Select</strong></span> - Jordan Fly Select will get their AAU season started with their three teams this weekend. Jordan Fly Select - White, also known as the "North" team - will feature standouts such as <strong>Jesse White</strong> (2020 Barlow), <strong>Silas Bennion</strong> (2020 Churchill), <strong>Aiden Clark</strong> (2020 South Eugene), <strong>Erik Fraser</strong> (2020 Grant), <strong>Jack Chlumak</strong> (2020 Newberg), and <strong>Andre Best</strong> (2020 Oregon City). Jordan Fly Select - Williams - the "South" team - will have the likes of <strong>Braeden Sato</strong> (2020 Sunset), <strong>David Gonzales</strong> (2020 Silverton), and <strong>Payton Richardson</strong> (2020 Western Christian). A third team, Jordan Fly Select - Perrault, is a local squad featuring a number of other Portland-area metro players.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Deep III</strong></span> - Deep III also gets things kicked off with three teams in the 17U division. Unsigned seniors such as <strong>Cam Feik</strong> (2019 Wilsonville) and <strong>Lukas Findley</strong> (2019 Dayton) will be leading the way along with other returnees such as <strong>Anthony Mosley</strong> (2020 De La Salle North) and James Husband (2020 Fort Vancouver-WA).</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Team Jones</strong></span> - After making their debut last weekend, Team Jones is back with three teams at the Portland Classic. Unsigned seniors such as <strong>Jack Rose</strong> (2019 Tualatin), <strong>Logan Pruitt</strong> (2019 Pleasant Hill), <strong>Jaysen Howard</strong> (2019 Dayton), and <strong>Tyler Logsden</strong> (2019 McMinnville) should be in attendance.</p>
