Coach’s Quotes
“Our guys all know the game really well and play as a team on both sides of the ball. They’re all unselfish, as you can see we had a different leading scorer every game. We have a lot of guys that can knock down shots. Austin Gibson was big for us in tournament play, he hit 10 threes in those three games. Our mantra is “play hard, play smart, play together” and when you watch us you can see that. Ali Mousavi, Grant Holtzer, and Grant Hinterman are a few guys who are a great example of that, as they had a huge impact on our championship run with play that wasn’t necessarily indicated in the box score.”

Weekend Notes
– Michigan Triple Threat 17u won the Gold Bracket even with Jack Dillon, Jack Isenhath, and Blake Lampman all missing tournament games.
– Michigan Triple Threat 17u has multiple players with next level abilities, including Blake Lampman and Grant Holtzer.
– Coach Sambaer on Grant Holtzer:
“6’4 but is an elite athlete. Had multiple dunks including a high feed in traffic. Very good rebounder, skies above the rim for them. Outplays kids much bigger than him every game. Had an awesome weekend for us at Storm Classic and was good for us this weekend – second leading scorer on the weekend despite never being the leading scorer in a game. Would be a good get for D3 teams.”
