He has continued to grow since we last saw him. Runs the floor hard. Pure form on the jump shot. Competes on the glass and will be even better at that once he gets stronger.
Lium got valuable experience being the go to player on the sophomore level this year as Oswego East had a super veteran group on the varsity team.
“I played sophomore this season. We were really good and only had two losses on the year. I moved up to varsity at the end of the year. We practiced with them and got a feel for it. Playing sophomore coach said it helped me grow as a leader on the team. I feel it was the right decision.”
What did he pick up from the seniors that will be going on to play at the college level that will help him the next two seasons?
“Ray J (Dennis) and Demari (Grant) I learned a lot from them. It takes a lot of work to play college basketball. They are in the gym almost every night and morning getting up shots.”
Lium discussed his skill set.
“My game I would say I am a wing that can shoot it. I can do one dribble pull ups. I can get to the rim. I need to get stronger with the ball, rebound better, and play more physical.”
He is playing with Hoops Intensity Training 16U. Heading into the spring he ranks #70 overall and the #17 small forward in the PHI 2021 Rankings.
