Time for us to review what we saw in Scotty B’s Superlatives! Let’s examine the Glue Guys from the event. The players who do the little things that make their team go!
SG Cooper Bridges (Team RWA 17U)
Bridges helped ignite the comeback for RWA that fell just short in the semis against Team Factory. This Plainfield North shooting guard was a super active defender trapping leading to his opponents turnovers along with being the recipient of several transition buckets off those steals.
PG Terrance Moncrief (Illinois T-Wolves 16U)
On a team full of talented wings it is Moncrief who makes the T-Wolves 16U group sync together. He is a quick floor general that gets others involved as he would rather make the assist than bucket.
SF Tyler Van Eekeren (HIT 16U)
Van Eekeren is the piece that rounds out a quality HIT 16U squad that made it to the semis. He does the little things defending and rebounding while also knocking in key shots.
SG Grayson Goetz (HIT 17U)
Goetz is a crafty two guard that likes to slash and make plays in the lane. Most of his points come on broken plays when the design wasn’t for him. Perfect complimentary player for that team.
PG Jack Baldridge (HIT 17U)
Baldridge did a nice job in the game we saw hitting open shots when the defense focused on the other players on his team. He has a team first mentality!
PF Daniel Okogun (Illinois T-Wolves 17U)
This powerful forward is an undersized four that brings a hard hat to the court each time out. He does a workman like job on the glass and continuously does the dirty work for his squad.
SG Kenton Pryor and AJ Coleman (Team RWA 16U)
The RWA 16U wing duo didn’t score a ton other than in transition. A lot of the time those points were off their defense which is what they did great when we saw them play. Defend at a high level on the perimeter while creating turnovers.
