The event annually has helped earn players scholarships with tons of college coaches from D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO programs in the house to find talent for their programs. The event will be held April 13-14 at CSO Sports Multiplex (1301 East 47th Street, Chicago , Illinois 60647). Each day will run from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Previously we looked at the Top 100 players that will be in the building. Here we preview some of the prospects that will be at the showcase ranked in the Top 250 in the Final PrepHoopsIllinois 2019 Rankings!
PG Dhashon Dyson (Corliss)
Dyson put his name on the radar with a strong senior year leading his team to the 2A final four while putting up consistent scoring numbers.
G Damari Nixon (Curie)
Nixon is a lefty combo guard that is best playing off the ball as a shooter and slasher.
SG Fillip Bulatovic (Maine South)
Crafty wing scorer that has a knack for scoring from all three levels with his size and skill set.
G Aaron Strong (Farragut)
Strong is a powerful combo guard that uses his strength scoring in the lane. Elevated his game as a senior for Farragut.
SG Drake Montgomery (South Elgin)
Montgomery is a smooth scorer that makes acrobatic finishes at the hoop seem normal.
F Kamron Battle (Oswego East)
Battle is a high energy forward that is bouncy around the rim. Quickness in the paint and plays well in transition.
SG Essam Hamwi (Maine South)
Hamwi is among the best small college shooting prospects in the state. Moves without the ball and has a lightning quick release!
SG Trace Williams (Homewood Flossmoor)
Williams has flown under the radar a bit, but this kid as a diverse offensive game and really impressed us last fall.
SG Austin Freeman (St. Patrick)
Freeman opened up the eyes of a lot of college coaches with his play this past season. Slick scoring guard.
SF Khalifah Muhammad (Belleville East)
Muhammad is a wing with plus size and an ultra-smooth offensive scoring repertoire.
SG Terry Williams (Orr)
Williams has committed to prep school next season, but still plans to be at the showcase to display his sniper ability from three.
SF Deion Jackson (Providence St. Mel)
Jackson is a long and rangy forward that slashes to the rim off the bounce working best from 15 feet and in.
SG Tyriel Nelson (Providence St. Mel)
Nelson is a smaller two guard that consistently produced last summer on the circuit and this year leading his team to a 1A state crown.
PF Kevin Vance (Bloom)
Vance was the unsung hero for Bloom this year with his ability to rebound and protect the rim.
PG Sentwali Nalls (Neuqua Valley)
Nalls is a sleeper point guard with his playmaking ability and non-stop energy.
G Ryan Bost (Evanston)
Bost is a smaller combo guard that is best as a spot up shooter. One of the better pure shooters remaining on the board.
PG Raheem Anthony (DePaul Prep)
Anthony was a key part of a team that finished 3rd in the state in 4A. Big combo guard with strength.
PG Nick Kosich (York)
Kosich is a crisp point guard that has a feel for the game and can shoot it from three.
C Jeremiah Stamps (Simeon)
Stamps provided a presence inside for the Wolverines this season. Area rebounder that gets put backs and clogs up the paint.
SG Donzell Johnson (Bloomington)
Johnson is a tough and physical two way wing that can shoot it some from three as well.
SG Jordan Brown (Waukegan)
Brown is an athletic scoring two guard that had games where he flashed his potential for the next level.
PG Michael Taylor (Orr)
Taylor was a force on the defensive end of the court this season for the 2A champs. Disruptive player at the point of attack.
PF Vuk Djuric (Lane Tech)
Crafty and skilled four man that is efficient with his touches down low and is a solid rebounder.
SG Detalian Brown (Uplift)
Athletic two way wing that still has untapped potential as a player.
SG Elijah and Andrew Stewart (TF South)
These twins can shoot the rock from three and push in the open floor.
SG Teon Nesbitt (Butler Prep)
Nesbitt is a super sleeper scorer with his athleticism and perimeter shooting.
SF Jaylin Cunningham (Waukegan)
Cunningham is a big wing that showed as a senior he can go off getting buckets in stretches.
PG Justin Warren (Whitney Young)
Warren is a sleeper point guard that runs the show getting others involved while being a pesky defender.
PG Norris Young (Mounds Meridian)
Young is an unknown who we saw early in the season put on an absolute show scoring at will!
F Jason Mason (Providence St. Mel)
Mason presents length, athleticism, and versatility being able to defend multiple spots and score from 15 feet in.
SG Erik Cohn (York)
Cohn has size for the two guard spot and is a sniper from deep.
SF Terance Fisher (Normal West)
Power wing that brings toughness, energy, slashing, and defensive intensity to the table.
G Darion Binion (Kankakee)
Binion is a combo guard with size that was part of a dynamic duo with his brother this past year.
PG Christian Davis (St. Ignatius)
Davis is a tough guard that is more of a scorer than distributor.
C Joe Doyle (Corliss)
Doyle is an intriguing post with size, strength, and the ability to change the game on both ends of the floor.
SF Kross Garth (Geneva)
Active and high-energy wing that has a knack for doing whatever his team needs.
PG Jeremiah Staten (Hillcrest)
Smaller point guard that scores off the bounce with speed and toughness.
G Jordan Wilkins (West Chicago)
Slick combo guard that had a strong career at West Chicago.
SG Jordan Myrick (Bolingbrook)
Thick two guard who can slash and rebound the basketball.
SF James Drummond (TF South)
Jumbo wing that put his name on the map as a senior with his ability to score at multiple levels.
PG DeAndre Vortes (Uplift)
Physical point guard that loves to get downhill and play with a high-motor.
