PrepHoopsIllinois is excited to get out to tons of events over the next few months. We wanted to give you some insight into the players we are excited to see this spring! Here is our Looking Forward: 2021 Posts.
Grant Newell (Whitney Young)
Newell had a lot of momentum coming into the season with a strong summer and fall. Never really got his footing with the Dolphins. The skilled face up four has so much potential!
Scotty Ebube (Mundelein)
Ebube is a power player that put up huge numbers as the season went along. Elite level rebounder that has shown growth improving his body and skill level.
Chad Readey (Homewood Flossmoor)
Readey could be the most interesting one on this list. He is also a pitcher in baseball so it is hit and miss when we see him on the circuit, but he has legit size, strength, and scoring ability.
Kevin Bozeman (Downers Grove North)
Bozeman is uber skilled with his ability to handle it and make plays in the open floor. New age four man!
Brian Mathews (DePaul Prep)
Mathews closed the season strong with a nice performance at the state finals. Physical post that rebounds, screens, and finishes.
Walt Mattingly (Deerfield)
Mattingly opened our eyes last fall. The athletic combo forward is primed to put himself on college radars this spring.
Luke Moustakas (Brother Rice)
Liked what we saw out of this face up four. Can stretch the floor, board, and score on the block.
