The HS season is over and we are diving into the individual player rankings. We start with the depth of the group with the guards for the sophomore class. There are already nine guards who hold Division-1 offers and many more to come.

1. Tyrone "Ty Ty" Washington Jr PG 6'3" Cesar Chavez (Offers from Portland State, Santa Barbara & Louisiana Monroe)

Washington Jr is the top guard in the class. He scores with the best of them and will arguably be the best guard in the AIA next year. His pull-up game is top notch and has a comfortable 3pt shot. He has great length, a super high IQ, he is an elite competitor and has the most polished game out there.

2. Dimitrios Stragalinos SG 6'4" Hillcrest Prep (Offers from Nevada, Wyoming & Bradley)

Stragalinos quietly is having a great year with his team. He may not get the recognition of the likes of Kyree Walker and Dalen Terry but he has his own special game. He is a smooth ball handler with good quicks who can make others better. He has deep range and can slither into the lane and make difficult layups.

https://twitter.com/Hillcrest_Hoops/status/1074448612900237312

3. D'Marco Dunn SG 6'4" Marana

Dunn is an explosive athlete who can be a lock-up defender. He is one of the top risers in the class. He has great length and grew a little. He is a pull-up type of guard that likes to go downhill and play above the rim.

https://twitter.com/powerhouse2021/status/1075342414548631554

4. Jalen Scott PG 6'2" Paradise Honors (Offers from Northern Arizona University & UC Riverside)

Scott is the top pure PG in the class. He makes his teammates better and uses his length on the defensive end. He is an incredible passer and he is slowly working on his overall offensive game. He currently scores it inside with his length and is an improving perimeter shooter.

5. Justus Jackson PG 5'11" Millennium (Offer from Grand Canyon University)

Jackson is another guard that improved greatly. He grew a little and is also a very polished guard. He has volleyball line range and is a good play-maker to make his teammates better. He had a breakout playoff run.

6. Paris Woods CG 6'5" Apollo (Offer from Portland State)

Woods is one of the biggest and longest guards in the class. He also looks like a track star on the break. He covers a lot of ground defensively and is another play-maker. He loves getting into the lane and scoring on floaters. He can make strides with his perimeter shooting consistency but avg 14 ppg with a season high 22 points versus Sunnyslope with four 3pt shots made.

7. Brett Hardt Jr CG 6'1" Rancho Solano Prep (Offer from Idaho State)

Hardt is one of the top shooters in the class. He is best off the catch but has improved off the bounce. He is crafty getting his shot and uses the pick and roll/pop game to his advantage. When left open he will make you pay or he can find the open teammate. He has made strides with his strength and handle.

The other three players who received offers are:

--6'3" SG/W Max Majerle of Arcadia HS (Offer from GCU) who was out for the HS season with an injury. The son of Dan Majerle is scheduled to be back healthy in late August and will be ready for the first game of next HS season.

--6'3" SG Trenton McLaughlin of Basha HS (Offer from NAU) who is a top-tier catch shooter for the Bears.

--5'9" PG Marcus Wady of Desert Vista HS (Offer from Portland State) who is a fast pure PG and on-ball defender.
