PH: How would you rate the team performance on a scale of 1-10?
DP: “An 8. We played well. We controlled the boards and contained Deaver a little bit. He still gets his, but we held him to less than what he had last game.”
PH: How was this matchup different than the last time you faced Marshall?
DP: “We beat them by 6 last time. Home court advantage was big for us this time. We had our crowd behind us, and we knew we had something to prove this time.”
PH: How were you able to respond when they answered your second quarter run?
DP: “We just kept our composure, and we tried to hold them to one shot. I think that was the key. Getting stops, holding them to one shot, and keeping Deaver off the glass.”
PH: What’s underrated about your game?
DP: “Probably my rebounding. I do need to pick up my defense though.”
PH: What are your strengths?
DP: “Shooting the ball, getting to the basket, and finishing.”
PH: Who’s recruiting you right now?
DP: “A few schools have hit me up. CNU, VA Wesleyan, Shenandoah.”
PH: Where do you stand in terms of making a decision?
DP: “That’s a surprise. I don’t even think I know yet.”
PH: What do you think you can bring to a college program?
DP: “Anything they need me to do to help the team, I’ll do it.”
