The 6’8” center is extremely mobile getting up and down the floor with ease. He is a skilled post that can handle, shoot, and defend. Above average shot blocker and rebounder already at this stage. Casey will battle his teammate Jaylen Drane for the top spot in the 2022 class throughout their careers.
Casey broke down his first year of high school basketball.
“It has gone good. I expected it to go a little better, but we got off to a slow start. Of course because of the schedule, but we are picking it up now.”
How has playing against elite players across the country sped up his development?
“It is getting me better. Improving my IQ. You can’t make the mistakes that you do against players your level because you are playing against people with advanced IQ’s and defensive mindsets.”
He told us the areas that he has seen improvement this season.
“Definitely being more patient. I have been doing well rebounding. I need to work on my defending moving the feet with the guards.”
Anything going on with recruiting yet?
“Wake Forest is showing interest. I talked to the Wisconsin coach. They said they like how I play hard and crash the glass and can create my own ways to score.”
